1st day in the Mission field

Today was our first medical clinic and it couldn't have gone better! We were up bright and early for breakfast and devotions and then headed off to Cedan. The people were there waiting already and we all worked to set up quickly. While it was chaotic in the beginning, everyone got into the flow of things by mid morning. Overall we saw almost 200 people go through our triage, dental, providers, pharmaceutical and surgery stations. One great moment from the day was watching a 16 year old boy get a mass removed from his head the size of a baseball. He was such a trooper through a difficult surgery (all done under just local anesthesia), while Doctor Dan did a brilliant job. After he was finished, his local pastor and family gathered around him and sang praise songs at the top of their lungs. It was truly a moment of God's glory and love. When we got back, we all unwound by the pool and just got fed a great dinner! We have devotions in a little bit, which have turned out to be a very special time in our day.  Then it's off to bed to rest up for clinic again tomorrow! Prayer requests would be for the rest of our luggage to make it in tomorrow, health for the whole team, for our friends and family back home, the start of our clinic tomorrow and diagnosing all the patients!
Blessings and love,
